On August 19th 2019 from 07:45 (UTC+2) onwards, some services won’t be available. Etherpad, Jitsi and Matrix will be unavailable until 12:00 (UTC+2). This is due to necessary maintenance work.
We have been running our own Matrix server in a test phase for a few months now. Matrix is a decentralized messenger service that can be used for end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) communication. As of today, any person who already has an email address with us can use this service.
For a while now, we’re giving our services piece by piece their own design, or at least customize them so that they are easier to recognize as a systemli.org service. We started with Jitsi Meet and Nextcloud. Now our website follows with a brand new design.
systemli.org mail users now can upload their public OpenPGP key to our Web Key Directory to make their keys discoverable by mail clients.
Unfortunately, some of our services are currently unaccessible from the Deutsche Telekom network. The underlying network problem isn’t in our hands and we’re stuck waiting for maintenance work of the responsible carriers.
About a week ago we tried to give an overview for solidarity infrastructure. A service that has been requested again and again and is important in the current situation has been Jitsi Meet. We have decided to offer this service like other leftist tech-collectives.

In the current situation, we are receiving requests from many contexts on how they can digitally support and continue their political work. We are asked, for example, how a plenary or alliance meeting can be digitally implemented if people don’t want to/can’t meet in one room.
Our ticker helps you with live coverage of demonstrations and other events. This way, we want to increase the visibility of social movements. Last year we completely rewrote the software. It now offers the possibility to attach pictures and maps to messages. Furthermore it can now be run under your own domain (e.g. ticker.your-action.org).
